What is Immersive Ritual Theatre?
Immersive Ritual Theatre is where performance becomes an initiation, and your audience stops being consumers and becomes the art alongside you. It is not something you watch from a distance … it is something you enter and bring your audience into. Drawing from myth, embodiment, erotic intelligence, and ceremonial design, ritual theatre weaves story, movement, sound, symbol, and human presence into experiences that transform the participants, not just entertain them.

In ritual theatre, the audience is not passive.
They are witnesses, co-conspirators, and sometimes initiates. Each experience is carefully choreographed yet alive ~ structured enough to feel safe, yet open enough to allow the unknown to speak through those present.
In this training, you will learn how to craft your own ritual theatre worlds … from conception to embodiment. You’ll be guided through the anatomy of a ritual: how to work with myth and archetype, how to design thresholds and transitions, how to hold erotic and emotional charge with integrity, how to create consent-based participation, and how to anchor transformation so it lands in the nervous system and the soul.
This work is for artists, facilitators, healers, performers, and visionaries who feel the call to create experiences that change people, not just move them emotionally for a night…or let them passively consume.
Ritual theatre is an art of remembrance …reminding us who we are beneath the masks, and inviting us to step, together, into something more alive.
You are remembering an ancient art and making it your own.

What you’ll Learn
Stage Presence
Learn how to hold the room without forcing expression or performing for approval. Learn how to remain grounded while being witnessed, and how to command attention through stillness, clarity, and embodied presence as much as through movement.
Freestyling & Improvisation
Develop the capacity to move and respond intuitively without choreography, while staying coherent and connected. You’ll learn how to track impulse without collapsing into fear, and how to remain in relationship with the space, ensemble, and audience in real time.
When You Mess Up
Learn secrets on what to do when you freeze, dissociate, or lose the thread mid-performance. Learn how to recover cleanly, stay inside the ritual field, and transform mistakes into meaningful material rather than interruptions (and guess what…these ‘mistakes’ sometimes add a secret sauce to experiences you didn’t realize were needed.
Archetypes
Work with archetypal states as living energies rather than fixed characters. You’ll learn how to enter and exit archetypes safely, and how to distinguish personal emotional material from what is meant to be transmitted in performance.
Space Holding & Containment
Learn how to establish a felt sense of safety and coherence without over-explaining or controlling the space including: how to hold intensity, erotic charge, and emotional activation without leaking, collapsing, or becoming overwhelmed, while staying resourced and regulated as others open or move through vulnerability.
Crafting Immersive Ritual Experiences
Learn how to design ritual theatre as an arc of initiation rather than a linear performance. This section explores how myth, themes, pacing, and sensory cues guide nervous systems, and how to create moments of choice, mystery, and participation that invite engagement without coercion.
Consent, Power & Ethical Authority
This module examines how to lead from grounded authority rather than charisma, dominance, or performance. Participants learn how to work with erotic and psychological power cleanly and responsibly, and how to create clear agreements that allow people to surrender, participate, and engage with agency and safety.
Integration & Closing the Field
Focuses on how to properly close ritual spaces so participants do not leave fragmented, overwhelmed, or raw. You’ll learn how to support the integration of what was activated or revealed, and how to guide both participants and yourself back into the human world with clarity, coherence, and completion.
Vocational Integration
This final module explores how ritual theatre can be structured as a sustainable vocation that supports your life rather than draining it. Participants learn how to price and position their work with integrity, design offerings that are energetically and financially sustainable, and integrate ritual theatre into existing practices such as coaching, facilitation, therapy, performance, or retreat leadership.

MORE DETAILS | FAQS
-
While formal performance training is helpful, it is not required. What matters most is embodied awareness, emotional maturity, and the ability to stay present under intensity. This training is not about technique or polish… it is about nervous system capacity, responsiveness, and relational attunement. Many participants come from counselling, facilitation, somatic practice, ritual leadership, or movement backgrounds rather than traditional theatre.
-
Food and accommodations are not included in the training. This intentional choice allows us to keep the training accessible and reasonably priced, given the depth of instruction, in-person immersion, professional resources, and creative assets included.
Because this is a training program rather than an all-inclusive retreat, we’ve designed the container to support both local participants and those traveling from abroad, while avoiding the added complexity and cost of coordinating meals across a wide range of dietary needs and preferences.
That said, we will provide thoughtfully curated recommendations for nearby cafés, restaurants, grocery options, and accommodations to ensure everyone feels supported during the training days.
Our priority has been to offer extraordinary value through the quality of teaching, hands-on experience, and professional-grade resources included in the training itself, while giving participants the freedom to choose what best nourishes them outside of the classroom.
-
At times, the work may include simulated or symbolic sexual expression as part of ritual, archetypal exploration, or theatrical transmission. These expressions are not pornographic, nor are they performed for titillation — they are intentional, contained, and always rooted in consent.
Participants may also feel the emergence of wilder or more instinctual sexual impulses during the training. While these energies are welcome to be acknowledged and worked with somatically or symbolically, any expression of sexuality is guided by clear consent, boundaries, and facilitation agreements. No one is ever expected to participate in an act they do not explicitly choose, and opting out is always respected (in fact — it’s encouraged to be a fuck yes or no).
-
The in-person training will take place over two full days on the weekend prior to FERAL, followed by required rehearsals and a short series of online classes. Full attendance at all live and online sessions is required in order to maintain ensemble integrity and safety. This training is designed as a cohesive initiatory container, not a drop-in experience.
(Exact dates and rehearsal schedule will be shared upon application or acceptance.)
-
Performing in FERAL is part of the training container, but participation does not guarantee a starring role. Casting and placement decisions are made by the directors based on readiness, attunement, and ensemble needs. This training is an initiation into ritual theatre, not an exchange for exposure. Commitment to the process is valued over visibility.
-
This container is designed with clear consent protocols, boundaries, and nervous system regulation practices. Anyone unable to self-regulate or respect consent and ensemble agreements may be removed from the container to protect the group.
-
A preparation outline will be sent to confirmed participants including what to bring and wear.
